Final Thoughts
This is going to be my final blog post because I am getting kicked out of the country for my ideas. Hopefully you have managed to get some understandings about how humans really act and what their true motivations are. I know that this might be hard knowledge for you to grasp, but it is important that you know the truth. If there is one thing that I want you to get out of this blog its that deep down no one is good. Scarcity and fear are what dominate the state of nature. In terms of natural rights there really is only one- the right to violence. In order to survive, you have to do whatever is necessary even if that means killing. People will always be greedy and there is nothing that can be done about it. In terms of thinking about the future, my expectations are not very high for mankind. The examples that I have given in this blog are only few of many that show bad people in the world. After reading what I have said, your view of human kind should be altered. If you ever find yourself in a state of nature just wait because you will act exactly like I have told you. But that is okay, because you will just be proving my point.

This was a very interesting blog to read because it opened my eyes to many new ideas about human nature. When Hobbes stated that humans were greedy and wanted to be successful, I agreed because everyone has something that they want. I also think that in a state of nature there would be scarcity, and government would have a hard time controlling its citizens. Without government it would be hard to stop others from doing whatever was necessary for them to get what they want. I disagree slightly because I do believe that humans would have some exceptions for who they would take care of. They would not forget to care for the ones that they love. I do think that this is where they would stop, because they would not be as concerend with other people since there would be a scarcity of resources. Humans are naturally greedy at times, but more often than not its for the sake of being successful and for survival. Hobbes really had a negative perspective of us, and was not someone you would willingly go up to and say hello to on the street.
ReplyDeleteAn example of someone who not only took care of themself, but also other people was Mother Teresa. She went out of her way to make sure that anyone who needed help got it. When I think of her I beleive that Hobbes' belief thta people only take care of themselves is not entirely true. It depends on the situation, and someone would never neglect the ones that they love because then that would mean that they did not really love them.
